| This extremely well made whelping nest provides an electronically controlled heated environment designed for puppies at the very earliest of ages. The nest measures 18-inches in diameter (inside) and 1-1/2 inches deep with sloped sides. It is made out of black ABS plastic that can be easily cleaned and sterilized. The electronics keep the preset temperature at a very precise 95 degrees (F) but can be adjusted between 90 and 110 degrees (F) in two degree increments by means of a user-accessible setting. The nest comes with a heavy-duty 6-foot grounded power cord. The cord is not wire wrapped but is usually installed such that the mother and pups do not have access to it so chewing is not a problem. There is also a red led-monitoring light on a heavy duty six foot cord; the led glows when then nest reaches the set temperature.
