Made of durable, easy to clean polyethylene, The rheostat acts like a light dimmer switch reducing the voltage to the heating pad and thereby reducing the heat. Either a Kane rheostat or Kane thermostat is required if the heating pad is to be used indoors. We recommend either a Kane rheostat or Kane thermostat for outdoor applications in order to provide the optimum comfort for your pet. The rheostat requires closer monitoring than does the thermostat in order to make adjustments based on the ambient air thermostat temperature, particularly for outdoor applications. Made in USA. 300 watts, 110 volts. This thermostat is made specifically to work with the Kane heated pet mat, but will also work with other heat mats or applications that require a rheostat . |
