| This high quality heated bird bath is compression molded, which means that the heating element is completely encased in solid plastic. The attractive scalloped design of the bowl mimics concrete bird baths in appearance. The 18-inch diameter grey bowl attached to your deck railing (or other suport such as a 4x4 post) with the clamp-on base that comes with the unit. The bowl is then attached to the base by simply twisting. The bowl can be just as easily removed for cleaning with a simple twist. Simply plug your three- prong extension cord into the built-in electrical connection concealed underneath the unit. During the summer, you simply unplug the extension cord and plug back in next fall. No cords dangling from the bird bath to deal with. The heating is thermostatically control so it is very efficient; cost just pennies per day to operate. | The optional matching heavy-duty pedestal replaces the deck mount to create a free-standing bird bath in the yard. This is a very well made pedestal. The electrical cord can be routed up through the middle and connects to the bowl so there is no exposed wiring. A rubber grommet seals the bottom so you can fill the pedestal with sand for added stability. For a pedestal mounted bird bath, order the bowl (above) and the pedestal. |
