| This submergible utility de-icer is thermostatically controlled that operates only when necessary. The heating element is encased is cast aluminum for durability, safety and efficiency. The de-icer can be safely used in plastic tanks, tubs, troughs and buckets up to 50 gallon capacity (500 watt unit) or 25 gallon capacity (250 watt unit). 6-foot long cord. Use this utility de-icer around the farm or home wherever you need to keep water ice-free. Available in two sizes. The 250 watt Utility De-Icer can also be used in all bird baths. The 150 watt Utility De-Icer is specifically designed for bird baths (or small buckets up to 2-1/2 gallons in size) and has a shorter 11-inch cord.
