| Decidedly low tech, but this heavy duty steel water/feed trough is the preferred answer for summer time watering – or locations where freezing temperatures are not a concern – by many pet owners. We like this heavy 14-guage steel trough because it is without a doubt the best made trough of its type on the market. This is the watering device we use in our kennels during the summer time. Unlike some of the imports which will not sit square, or are twisted and warped right out of the carton, or are obviously lower quality, this steel trough will last for years. Each trough is mig-welded to assure leak-proof construction. The trough is finished with a premium powder coat which is a full-bake polyester paint for extended life and appearance. The color is a medium dark grey. The trough is 10 inches wide and 6 inches deep. Overall size is 18”W x 6-1/2” H x 24”L and will hold approximately 3 gallons. Made in the USA. When using as a watering trough, you should empty the water and refill every few days to keep a clean source of water for your pets. Over time, you may notice an algae build up on the inside of the trough which can be easily removed by a light scrubbing. An occasional cleaning with a weak bleach solution is also a good idea, as it is for any watering device. |
