Older pets will especially enjoy the added warmth that a heated bed will
provide. Each heated bed comes with a removable Pet Bed Warmer. This
allows the bed to be used year-round. You simply unzip the durable light
canvas cover and slip out the warmer. The warmer is surrounded by a
¾-inch foam pad underneath and three ¼-inch foam pads on top. To
increase the heat of the bed, you unzip the cover and move the warmer up
in the layers. To decrease the warmth you move the heat pad lower in the
layers. Simple. Effective. Safe. The heating unit is only 12 watts and
operates at 25 volts through a transformer which is plugged into the outlet.
The voltage supplied to the bed through a wire-wrapped cord (to prevent
chewing) is low enough to eliminate any shock hazard.
