This de-icer is designed to float in the water tank and is
thermostatically controlled with an automatic shutoff. The
Styrofoam float is completely enclosed within a rugged plastic
housing. The 6-foot cord exits from the top of the unit. This gives
the heater added stability and it is less likely to tip in the tank. If
you intend to use this de-icer in a plastic tank then select the size
you want with the guard. The guard is made of galvanized wire
and is assembled without the use of welding. The end results is a
much stronger guard with is less affected by rust and corrosion.
Available in two sizes, 1000 watts and 1500 watts. Patented.
